Memories of Barbados.

Not very often will one run into actual adventurers who have a fearless spirit of adventure and a charming sense of fun. This was Rex Wotton, a sailor, climber, scuba diver, and a great sport.  Rex Wotton ran the West Coast Watersports center at Coral Reef hotel, just up the beach from Settlers Beach. The center took hotel guest diving and on sailing excursions around the coast. He was an expert seaman trained by the Royal Merchant Navy in navigation, and marine work. Rex Wotton was among the most enchanting Rogues of Barbados. He had an amazing sense of fun and used it to win over every situation.

Banana leaves have many usages. Wound around food, they serve as a container for cooking over a fire. They make an excellent surface to serve up a meal, and can be used as a shade and a cover on which to lie down.
